VFDSoft is Delta provided software which allows you to manage parameters in addition to other functionality. This article will focus on the steps to save and copy parameters from one VFD to another.
- Download and install VFDSoft.
- Connect the VFD you want to read parameters from to a Windows 10 PC using a USB cable.
- The MS300 has a USB Type B port so one side of your cable will need this type of port.
- Open VFDSoft and Windows Device Manager
- After connecting your computer to the drive with a USB cable open Device Manager and go to Ports. You should see something similar to below. See what COM port is being used by the VFD. In the screen shot below COM3 is being used.
- Open VFDSoft and click the Off-line button at the top right. Select the correct COM port and hit the Test button. If successful you should now be able to the OK button to connect.
- Download and save parameters to a file.
- Click Parameter to open the parameter management window.
- Select Read Drive to read all the parameters currently on the drive.
- Click Save and save either in txt or csv format.
- Upload parameters from a file to a new VFD.
- Disconnect the old drive and connect the new drive you want to write the parameters to.
- Open the parameter management window and select Write All, select Source from File and find the parameter file you saved in a previous step.
- Select OK to Write the file to the Drive
