MS300/VFD-EL/C2000/CP2000 - Err shows when changing a parameter

If you receive an error (Err) when trying to change a parameter, or the drive won't accept a new value, it can be caused by several things.

1. The motor is running. Some parameters cannot be changed while the motor is running. Stop the drive and try again.
2. Write protection or keypad lock is on (parameter 00-02). If 00-02 is set to 1, all parameters are read-only; change it to 0. On the VFD-EL and VFD-EL-W, 00.02 = 8 (or 7) locks the keypad: press and hold ENTER for about 5 seconds to unlock it, then set 00.02 to 0.

3. A parameter password is set. When a password is active, other parameters read 0 and can't be changed. The parameter numbers and the forgotten-password procedure depend on the series:

   • MS300, C2000 and CP2000: 00-08 shows 1 when a password is set. Enter the password in 00-07. If you forgot it, enter 9999 in 00-07 and press ENTER, then enter 9999 again and press ENTER within 10 seconds. This clears the password and returns all parameters to factory defaults.
   • VFD-EL and VFD-EL-W: 00.09 shows 1 when a password is set. Enter the password in 00.08. The 9999 reset is not available on these drives. If the password is unknown, contact Delta service.

   On all of these drives, three wrong password entries lock the keypad (the display shows "code" or "CodE"). Power the drive off and back on to try again.
